Know what banks look for so you can prepare ahead of time.
Banks want to see you've been earning steady income for at least 6 months. Employed? Bring payslips and COE. Self-employed? ITR and bank statements.
They'll check if you pay your bills on time. Late credit card payments or existing loans can hurt your chances. Clean record = better terms.
Banks calculate how much you already owe vs. your income. If you're maxed out on loans, they'll reject you. Keep existing debts low.
Bigger down payment = lower risk for the bank. 20% minimum is standard, but 30-40% can get you lower interest rates and faster approval.
Missing docs = delayed approval or rejection. Have these ready: Valid IDs, proof of income, proof of billing, bank statements (3-6 months). For self-employed: ITR, business permits, financial statements.
